Resume for Canada and KEY Points

The format for Canadian Resume is not at all different from what is in the USA. However, these are few subtle important details you should remember.

There are two formats:

• Traditional Reverse Chronological (Chronological Resume)- employment hsitory-focused

  • Resume Header (with POST nominal if there is any, work status (if resident))

  • A Personal Summary (impactful, concise and relevant)

  • Professional Experience (Reverse Chronological Order, Summarize each role, (Company, Job Title, Dates Employed and Details of the Role)

  • Education and Professional Qualifications

Key Points:

Never include a Photo in a Canadian Resume

No Personal Information like DOB (Date of Birth) etc.

2 pages only

Written in perfect English / French correct grammar

Should be in "Active" voice , what "YOU" have been doing

Explain the GAPS (work dates) in your resume.
